Indigo Ranch is a pet-friendly recovery retreat nestled just a few miles into Malibu. An English Tudor Manor made up of one luxury residence and a guesthouse on over seven acres of ocean-view property, Indigo Ranch boasts a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts and state-of-the-art recording studio.
Catering to musicians, writers, painters, photographers and other artists, Indigo Ranch is led by Creative Arts Director Chris Wilson, an award-winning musician, painter and film composer.
Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Korn, Olivia Newton John, Nick Cave, Moody Blues and Limp Bizkit are just a few of the musicians and bands that recorded at the original studio Indigo Ranch under the leadership of the late producer Richard Kaplan. In 2013, before he passed, Kaplan bequeathed the name Indigo Ranch to founders Kimberly James and Charlie Bentz.
Beach House Treatment Intensives program at Indigo Ranch provides clinical recovery treatment for addiction and dual disorders. For the ultimate in mind, body, spirit approach to healing all patients are welcome to reside in the luxurious Indigo Ranch Retreat.
Recovery needs are diverse, which is why we pride ourselves on our dedication to providing our clients with a world-class team of experts. We provide and implement individual recovery treatment plans, which consist of the most advanced therapies and treatment available.
We believe in an integrated and holistic treatment model which blends the best of Western Medicine and Easter healing modalities. This mind, body, spirit approach proves to be effective in achieving and maintaining sobriety.
We understand that recovery is a lifelong journey which is why we have a strong alumni network.
Everyone’s journey is unique, which is why our multidisciplinary team will design your treatment plan based on your individual needs. We begin by learning more about your:
- Emotional health and well-being
- Physical health and current medical conditions
- Trauma and mental health
- Substance use and recovery history
- Co-occurring conditions
- Family history and support system
We use a combination of evidence-based and traditional clinical treatments. This integrated approach is a powerful way of personalizing recovery. We turn to Mindfulness-based modalities to increase self-awareness, self-compassion, and to create healthy new pathways in the brain. Our mind, body, spirit approach contains any combination of:
- Individual and Group Psychotherapy
- Relational Healing
- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Addressing Sex and Love Addictions
- Family Therapy
- Family telemedicine (including telemedicine)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Relapse Prevention
- Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention
- Codependency Treatment
- 12-Step Facilitation
- Post-Induction Therapy
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Somatic Experiencing
- Psychoeducational Groups
- Physical Fitness (hiking, swimming, surfing, gym and other outdoor activities)
- Therapeutic Experiential activities (e.g., art and music therapy, trauma-informed psychodrama, yoga, and meditation.)
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
With structured PHP addiction treatment, you or your loved one will begin with 5 days a week—with 6 or more hours of treatment per day. This includes individual therapy, group therapy, and daily programming.
REINTEGRATION DURING RECOVERY
We encourage clients who are ready to reintegrate within the local sober community, by attending outside 12-Step meetings. We also provide opportunities for outside excursions, recreation, and experiential therapy. This integration with everyday activities helps to build confidence during the initial stages of recovery, and helps prepare clients for discharge.
PHP is an ideal step-down support when transitioning from inpatient care to independent living. It is also ideal for anyone whose mental, behavioral, or substance recovery does not require inpatient or residential treatment.
Our Treatment Intensives may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
In order to qualify for and benefit from PHP, clients must be stable and open enough to engage in their structured therapy and treatment. They must be capable of performing all activities of daily living independently. While it is not required to reside at the Indigo Ranch Retreat during rehabilitation, off-site clients may have to arrange transportation. Each Beach House Treat treatment program is unique, so admission to PHP’s in other locations may require inpatient or in-house residency.
Prior to admission we conduct a thorough psychosocial assessment, or an in-depth review of the inpatient program our client is being transferred from. This assessment is essential for personalizing recovery plans, and addressing individual needs, strengths, and goals.
